Style Theory: Super Stylish and Practical..the '2013 Trainer', worn by designers, stylists, hipsters and mums alike, has a universal appeal and is supremely comfortable.
The trainer has re-emerged from the 90s as the key footwear staple for 2013. This time around the trainer can be worn with jeans, cigarette pants, skirts and dresses, dressed up, dressed down......anything goes. A few key brands stand out but it seems the old school trainer is slowly working it's way back in also. So say goodbye to your Uggs and hello to your new comfortable fashionable friend...
First for some streetstyle inspiration:
Love the colour of these trainers with the muted greys and black, understated style.
These trainers are fab, look great with ankle length skinny jeans.
I love the way these jeans have been cut up the inside seam to create a cool bootleg look.
Cool Vans with cropped straight leg jeans.
Vans look fab with leather trousers and a fisherman jumper.
I love the trainers with the glittery skirt and camel coat, it really shouldn't work but does.
Fab Nike trainers, again paired with leather trousers and animal print bag.
Converse, casual cool.
Wear with leather skinnies.
Addidas old school trainers look fab with a full length coat.
Leopard print vans with an all black outfit, looks gorgeous.

The vibrant colour of these would work great with a denim dress

Classic, understated. Pull your look together pair these with a pale grey/pale yellow cashmere scarf
Urban Outfitters Navy New Balance £60
I have very similar trainers to these, they look fab with rolled up boyfriend jeans (I have been wearing attractive pop socks with mine to keep my ankles warm in the winter!)

A cool colour, slightly more pumped up trainer, they look fabulous on, pair with charcoal tights and a denim dress.

These are completely out there, an 'old skool' addidas shape in leopard print..a statement trainer, in the the winter team with black baggy poloneck and black skinny ankle length jeans..would look a-maz-ing!

A cool basic old school shape in a vibrant raspberry, these are defintely for those with smaller shoe size as they tend to elongate your feet.
Office Nike Blazer Grey £64.99

I love the contrast of colours of these trainers, pick out the bright pink colour with your accessories, a bright pink pair of gloves or a bright pink jumper.

Office Saucony Pink £49.99

It is a really good idea when wearing trainers, especially when you are not in your 20s, to pick up the colours featured in your trainers with your accessories/top/coat. It just makes your overall look more 'put together' and stylish...
